Do you love easy to make family dinners? I do. I don’t have a family, but I sure do enjoy the leftovers! This easy beef stroganoff recipe has become one of my favorites and is a staple dinner rotation for me now.

I started eating meat a few months ago after a decade of being a vegetarian. One of the first things I did was purchase, in bulk, organic grass-fed ground burger from a local farmer. I’ve made homemade burgers, sloppy-joes, and beef tacos with this beef, and every recipe has been absolutely amazing. Truly, I was blown away at how good beef and cheese tacos are, haha. With an abundance of frozen ground beef, I had to find recipes to utilize it all, so I texted up friends and family for their best ground beef recipes. I would like to thank my mom for this beef stroganoff recipe!

How do you make beef stroganoff?

Simply! Begin by boiling your noodles. I would suggest this egg noodle that pairs perfectly with the creamy beef gravy or spiral noodles of some sort. You could really use any kind of noodle, but I feel like some noodles and textures just do better paired with certain types of dishes. In this case, I LOVE these egg noodles. So much so, I just ordered a bulk order of them. If you don’t want noodles with your beef stroganoff, you can also top baked potatoes with the beef gravy or just eat the beef gravy by itself!

While your noodles are cooking, brown your ground beef with your chopped onion and garlic. Add in one can of cream of mushroom soup and stir. Add in your salt and pepper. Mix in your milk to make a thick gravy. Heat your gravy until bubbly and thoroughly combined. Mix in the sour cream. Top with cheese if you would like.

Drain your noodles and top with the gravy! I usually dish the noodles then add the gravy on top. You can combine the gravy and noodles into one pot if desired.

What do you need to make beef stroganoff?

You can mix it up according to your taste but I use beef, onion, garlic, cream of mushroom soup, salt and pepper, milk, sour cream, and parmesan cheese.

I love multiple aspects of this recipe: the gravy is versatile to use over—eat it plain or top noodles or baked potatoes with it, it is easy to make within 30 minutes and does not require a lot of time or cleanup, and it makes for delicious leftovers!
